rally on december 3 (sorry this post is late but i am sure we would need a lot more than one rally to bring about change)

Dear Friends,

My heart bleeds in remorse over the terrorist attack, which rocked the foundation of entire humanity in this universe. I know not, what these miscreants gain from such exercise, but deep in my heart I feel what ingredient makes this kind of human soul that carry out such barbaric operations. Are they not made of heart and blood? Didn't they appear from the womb of a mother?

My weeping heart also salutes to those brave souls of police force, military and NSG who did not hesitate for a single moment to invest their lives to save the hostages in Taj Hotel, Oberoi Hotel complex and Nariman House.. They did not ask any of the civilians about his caste, religion, regional background or language before rescuing.

We are triumphant in hoisting Tricolour on moon, but we are failure in ensuring the life safety of people in our own country who might have just gone out of their house for a dinner with family. We can strike nuke deals with the USA, which is thousands of miles away, but we cannot control the nuisance that is created by a country who shares same boundary with us…..How many more proof's do we require against them? Why only are we talking about friendship? Can you remember one initiative taken by the neighbourhood towards friendship with us & on the other hand our list is endless?

This argument will go endless, and still the solution seems to be beyond horizon.

I sincerely urge to all, who are near to my heart, to refrain from any kind of celebration on this weekend, and spend a quiet evening at our homes, in honour of those departed souls, who lost their lives with no fault of theirs. We shall also share the prayers of those who are fighting for life and death due to injury in this attack. We should also acknowledge the trauma that the residents of Mumbai had gone through in these hours of crisis, and join them to spend some time in solace. And last but not the least; we should condole for all of those 300+ lives which were lost in these 60 hours of most horrifying terrorist insurgency in the history of human beings existence.

This time, I feel, we all are actually working towards the betterment of a better India . The family of our martyrs, who laid their lives, have refused to take the compensation given to them by the Government. Like Late Mr. Karkare's family have refused to take the Rs. 1 Cr compensation granted to them & also by Late Mr. Salaskar's family. Also Late Mr. Unnikrishnan's father threw out the politician of their house who had gone to pay condolences to their family. Enough of Politics.

Last few words: let's start something. Something, like a non cooperation movement.. Something to show we are not taking this lying down. Something that can tell our, so called, leaders & politicians that we want our safety. Lets show them how many we are & how angry, tired & frustrated we are. We are coming together at Gateway of India on 3rd of Dec'08 @ 6 pm. Let's ask for what is our right. A right to live fearlessly. Let us devote one evening of our life to it. Its worth it. I know you will be there. Please pass this on to all the contacts you have, known or unknown.

Note: My friends who are out of Mumbai can take the ownership, lead ahead from the front & do a similar activity in their locality, region.

Let our memory not be short as it has been always.

Pictures from Mumbai Attacks (warning: images might be disturbing for normal people. For politicians, i.e blood suckers, its a delight)

As a fellow Indian, i just want all the others to not come under this threat, but now think how to fight it.. we can’t just take things lying down, if the govt., doesn’t wish to do anything, because their life’s not in danger, they have Z class security everywhere they go, (I wonder who'd want to murder them in the first place, they r not making an impact as it is). We are the ones, whose is, we do not know, if we were to go out, even to the so called safest places, will we be safe? Safe from the terrorists, the rapists or as a matter of fact the rowdy politician kids, who will pick up a fight anywhere n everywhere...

We need to work toward making OUR NATION, OUR WORLD a safer place to live..
Lets put our heads together and think how, ???

Update from 03.12.2008

Do not worry about those who have come thru boats...
Our forces can easily defeat them.
WORRY about those who have come thru votes....
Those are our REAL ENEMIES….

What a shame and disgrace to every citizen of India that the elite NSG Force was transported into ordinary BEST buses, whereas our cricketers are transported into state of the art luxury buses, these Jawans lay down their lives to protect every Indian and these cricketers get paid even if they lose a match, we worship these cricketers and forget the martyrdom of these brave Jawans. The Jawans should be paid the salaries of the cricketers and the cricketers should be paid the salaries of the Jawans.

An ace shooter shoots and gets gold medal, govt gives 3 cr, another shooter dies while shooting terrorist, govt gives 5 lakh. WHO DESERVES MORE? Huh..??

This is our India... .. We are the young blood......it can take time but we can change it.....

The Hindu Rate Of Wrath

When the Mahatma's cowards erupt in fury, it hurts. Its not terror

Article by
Francois Gautier

Is there such a thing as 'Hindu terrorism', as the arrest of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur for the recent Malegaon blasts may tend to prove? Well, I guess I was asked to write this column because I am one of that rare breed of foreign correspondents—a lover of Hindus! A born Frenchman, Catholic-educated and non-Hindu, I do hope I'll be given some credit for my opinions, which are not the product of my parents' ideas, my education or my atavism, but garnered from 25 years of reporting in South Asia (for Le Journal de Geneve and Le Figaro).

In the early 1980s, when I started freelancing in south India, doing photo features on kalaripayattu, the Ayyappa festival, or the Ayyanars, I slowly realised that the genius of this country lies in its Hindu ethos, in the true spirituality behind Hinduism. The average Hindu you meet in a million villages possesses this simple, innate spirituality and accepts your diversity, whether you are Christian or Muslim, Jain or Arab, French or Chinese. It is this Hinduness that makes the Indian Christian different from, say, a French Christian, or the Indian Muslim unlike a Saudi Muslim. I also learnt that Hindus not only believed that the divine could manifest itself at different times, under different names, using different scriptures (not to mention the wonderful avatar concept, the perfect answer to 21st century religious strife) but that they had also given refuge to persecuted minorities from across the world—Syrian Christians, Parsis, Jews, Armenians, and today, Tibetans. In 3,500 years of existence, Hindus have never militarily invaded another country, never tried to impose their religion on others by force or induced conversions.

You cannot find anybody less fundamentalist than a Hindu in the world and it saddens me when I see the Indian and western press equating terrorist groups like Islamist SIMI, which blow up innocent civilians, with ordinary, angry Hindus who burn churches without killing anybody. We know also that most of these communal incidents often involve persons from the same groups—often Dalits and tribals—some of who have converted to Christianity and others not.

However reprehensible the destruction of Babri Masjid, no Muslim was killed in the process; compare this to the 'vengeance' bombings of 1993 in Bombay, which wiped out hundreds of innocents, mostly Hindus. Yet the Babri Masjid destruction is often described by journalists as the more horrible act of the two. We also remember how Sharad Pawar, when he was chief minister of Maharashtra in 1993, lied about a bomb that was supposed to have gone off in a Muslim locality of Bombay.

I have never been politically correct, but have always written what I have discovered while reporting. Let me then be straightforward about this so-called Hindu terror. Hindus, since the first Arab invasions, have been at the receiving end of terrorism, whether it was by Timur, who killed 1,00,000 Hindus in a single day in 1399, or by the Portuguese Inquisition which crucified Brahmins in Goa. Today, Hindus are still being targeted: there were one million Hindus in the Kashmir valley in 1900; only a few hundred remain, the rest having fled in terror. Blasts after blasts have killed hundreds of innocent Hindus all over India in the last four years. Hindus, the overwhelming majority community of this country, are being made fun of, are despised, are deprived of the most basic facilities for one of their most sacred pilgrimages in Amarnath while their government heavily sponsors the Haj. They see their brothers and sisters converted to Christianity through inducements and financial traps, see a harmless 84-year-old swami and a sadhvi brutally murdered. Their gods are blasphemed.

So sometimes, enough is enough. At some point, after years or even centuries of submitting like sheep to slaughter, Hindus—whom the Mahatma once gently called cowards—erupt in uncontrolled fury. And it hurts badly. It happened in Gujarat. It happened in Jammu, then in Kandhamal, Mangalore, and Malegaon. It may happen again elsewhere. What should be understood is that this is a spontaneous revolution on the ground, by ordinary Hindus, without any planning from the political leadership. Therefore, the BJP, instead of acting embarrassed, should not disown those who choose other means to let their anguished voices be heard.

There are about a billion Hindus, one in every six persons on this planet. They form one of the most successful, law-abiding and integrated communities in the world today. Can you call them terrorists?

Vote of No Confidence

Normally its the job of the opposition MP's / MLA's (the so called people's representative's) to raise a vote of no confidence against the Government. We all know what are the motivations behind the no confidence motions and how the government goes about winning such motions.

For a change, we the people, need to move a vote of no confidence, not only against the government but against all the political parties. Its all right for the opposition to claim that law and order has failed under Congress / UPA but we all know that these attacks would have happened irrespective of which party was in power. Because what we have now is systemic failure.

Our politicians have foresight which extends up to their toes. We need to decide whether we want such people to lead us into oblivion or we choose stronger leaders, leaders who are willing to take tough but fair decisions to ensure our safety.

No, we do not want to be resilient anymore. We do not want to take this lying down.

Politicians of all hues:

QUIT INDIA
